To begin the design process we start with a thirty minute, to one hour consultation at your property where you let us know your vision for your garden, your maintenance expectations and your budget. We will evaluate your existing flora and structures, making recommendations based on your needs, our expertise and your native habitat. Kitchen gardens, cut flower gardens and native wildlife corridors are popular client requests.
After our consultation we will invoice you with our design fee. For a small, contiguous yard our design fee starts at $500. When the invoice is paid we will create a plan view, plant list, and an estimated quote, typically within a 1-2 week turnaround. Our initial consultation fee includes one round of revisions, further revisions may require an additional fee. For $200 more we will complete a watercolor perspective rendering of your garden and you will keep the original art.
Our itemized estimate includes our projected labor and shopping time, billed hourly and a list of materials, i.e. plants, weed barrier fabric, fertilizer, mulch, drip irrigation, gopher cages etc. Our starting rate is $200 per hour for a crew of 2, and $75 for each person after that.
Once a client approves the estimate, it is converted into a “living” quote that details the scope of work and invites the client to play a deposit. A deposit is necessary to schedule the installation and begin the process of acquiring the goods necessary to realize the clients’ vision.
